Midget DS are 2020 Guelph Winter Classic Champions!
Congratulations to the 2020 Guelph Winter Classic Champions:

šŸšŸ”„šŸ„‡šŸ”„šŸ Your Oakville Hornets Midget DS team! šŸšŸ”„šŸ„‡šŸ”„šŸ

The Oakville Hornets Midget DS team went undefeated in 5 games to win the Development Stream Invitational Tournament hosted by the Guelph Gryphons on January 5th.

The team defeated the Guelph Gryphons 5-1, the North Durham Blades 6-0, the Central York Panthers 1-0, and the Etobicoke Dolphins 7-0. A gold medal rematch with the Central York Panthers and defending tournament champions ended with the Hornets on top 3-0 and the 4
th shutout in a row for goaltender Maddyx Lindsay.

Coached by assistants John Hayward and Nigel Babb, and head coach Bill Vanderdoelen along with trainer Cynthia Lindsay, this was the team’s 3
rd appearance in a row at this annual tournament, and 2nd gold medal.  

Players include Mikaela Antunes, Paige Babb, Shaye Compagnon, Basant & Nimrit Dhillon, Sam Ecclestone, Rebecca Di Filippo, Fiona Gervin, Bri Hayward, Kaitlyn Ivey, Karah Jensen, Caroline Law, Emily Laing, Maggie McLean, Ainsley Morrison, Jackie & Paige Murray, Mackenzie Seaver, and Grace Vanderdoelen.
