Hornets Experience Growth in First Six Games
The 2022/23 Sr AA Hornets added new players this season to avoid short bench games and are starting to put their game together. New players welcomed this season include: on defence Chyne Kennedy from Oswego State, and Nicole Turczyniak from Hornets. On forward new players include Logan Boyd from University of B.C., Kaitlyn Norris from Oakville Hornets. Returning after a season away is Jennifer Collingswood.

Game one was a 3-3 tie vs the much improved Hamilton Hawks. The Hornets suffered a 5-2 loss in game two vs Kitchener before hitting their stride in a dominant 10-1 win vs Brantford. In game four McMaster shut out Oakville 1-0. Game five saw an extremely short seven skater bench put up a gutsy effort to defeat Hamilton 2-1. In the most recent game, arch rival was able to prevail in a close 3-2 final.
