The Oakville Hornets are excited to announce that Autumn MacDougall and Rob Hisey will serve as Co-Head Coaches of our U13AA team for the 2025–27 season!

Autumn is from Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia, and is deeply committed to growing the women’s game through coaching and player development. She played five seasons with the University of Alberta Pandas, winning a U SPORTS National Championship, before competing professionally in both the PHF and Sweden’s SDHL.

Autumn is also the founder of Peak Performance Female Hockey, a program that delivers elite on-ice instruction, mentorship, and off-ice training to female athletes in Nova Scotia during the off-season.

In addition to her work with Peak Performance, Autumn is currently an assistant coach at Appleby College and a skills/power skating coach for several organizations across the GTA, where she helps players elevate their game while building confidence and a love for hockey.

Rob brings a high-performance playing background and a deep commitment to player development. A standout forward in the Ontario Hockey League, Rob spent four seasons establishing himself as one of the league’s most dynamic offensive players, known for his creativity, speed, and elite hockey IQ.

He went on to enjoy a 13-year professional career across top European leagues and within two NHL organizations. His extensive experience at the pro level gives him a powerful understanding of what helps young athletes excel.

Since retiring, Rob has focused on developing the next generation of players. Since 2019, he has run his own development program in Oakville, training athletes of all ages — including many Hornets — and helping them elevate their skills, confidence, and love for the game.

Next season marks Rob’s first behind the bench with the Hornets, and he is excited to help lead the U13 AA team. His goal is to build a competitive, supportive, and fun environment where players can thrive both on and off the ice.

We are thrilled to welcome Autumn and Rob to the Hornets’ high-performance coaching team and look forward to the leadership, expertise, and passion they will bring to our U13AA athletes.

Sponsors
Tim Hortons
The Timbits Minor Sports Program is a community-oriented sponsorship program that provides opportunities for kids aged four to nine to play house league sports. The philosophy of the program is not based on winning or losing, but on learning a new sport, making new friends, and just being a kid. Tim Hortons currently supports more than 300,000 children on teams in hockey, soccer, ringette, lacrosse, softball and baseball leagues in Canada and the United States. Our sponsorship includes jerseys, participation medals and a Timbits player gift for each player. Adding to the fun, Timbits teams are often invited to attend Canadian Hockey League (CHL), National Hockey League (NHL) and Major League Soccer (MLS) games to catch the action and showcase their skills between periods.
