Welcome to the 2022 - 23 Season
Welcome to the Oakville Hornets’ 2022-2023 season. Whether you are a returning player or joining the Hornets as a rookie this season, we’re excited to have you as part of the Hornets family.

There are several initiatives we have put in place this season to continue our mission of developing and fostering the growth of girls hockey at the community level including: a development program for U7-U9, a goalie development program, re-introduction of our DS program to prepare our players for our competitive rep program, and lots more.

We will host three annual tournaments: Harvest Classic (Sept 22nd-25th) :Best of the Nest (Nov 11th – 13th); the largest Rep tournament in the country; and Survive the Hive (Feb 24th – 26th)! All three tournaments attract teams from all over Ontario offering an opportunity for our players to compete against new teams and meet other players who share the same passion for hockey. We will also host a
U7 Festival day, our Oakville Hornets House League Championship day and the Queen of the Hearts House League Championships.

The OHGHA’s success is attributable to its hundreds of volunteers who ensure that the organization runs smoothly. If
you are interested in volunteering, please contact Candace, our Director of Volunteers

Tim Hortons
The Timbits Minor Sports Program is a community-oriented sponsorship program that provides opportunities for kids aged four to nine to play house league sports. The philosophy of the program is not based on winning or losing, but on learning a new sport, making new friends, and just being a kid. Tim Hortons currently supports more than 300,000 children on teams in hockey, soccer, ringette, lacrosse, softball and baseball leagues in Canada and the United States. Our sponsorship includes jerseys, participation medals and a Timbits player gift for each player. Adding to the fun, Timbits teams are often invited to attend Canadian Hockey League (CHL), National Hockey League (NHL) and Major League Soccer (MLS) games to catch the action and showcase their skills between periods.
Hockey is our national passion – it reflects the values of universality, dedication and team spirit that we hold so near and dear. That's why McDonald's® Canada is proud to continue our support of minor hockey in Canadian communities.
